Black-winged Stilt Reflecting Oil

While in the Chewore South territory in north Zimbabwe in late June 2022, I spent a couple of days R & R on the Zambezi. This black-winged stilt was in the shallows early in the morning. I was standing on the raised bank almost directly overhead which made for an ideal shot. At first sight, their wings appear dense black but they have a blue/green sheen that catches the light. Their long pink legs seem a little incongruous.
The painting size is 20 x 16 x 0.5 inches or 50.5 x 40.5 x 1.5 cm
The painting is varnished with matt artists varnish.
The sides of this canvas are white and the work is ready to hang with fittings attached.
