Description
One of the more well-known landmarks in West Sussex, Arundel Castle has been the seat of the Norfolks since the c16. Known as the leading Catholic family in the land, the Norfolks have always been close to the monarch. Their fortunes have always been up and down. They lost their title in 1485, being on the wrong side at the battle of Bosworth, but regained it later, after the amazing victory over the Scots at Flodden Field
Today they are still close to the monarchy, and will no doubt will be organising the forthcoming coronation of King Charles III
