Summertime 2 Oil

I am attracted by the style of Gerhard Richter and have used his technique here of applying oils with squeegy and palette knife. By applying multiple layers of paint and scraping back ,whilst applying subsequent layers means that paint of different colours is reapplied in others parts of the canvas creating an interesting and varied effect .I enjoy the rather random outcome .I hope the viewer will be intrigued and attracted by the vibrancy and energy of this work .
