Back to basics 2 Acrylic

This round textured painting named back to basic 2 is part of a minimalistic series that combines old traditional materials with todays modern techniques. The inspiration and story behind this theme was thinking of how people build their houses in the early days with clay , sand and leam . With little or no tools, they created their homes. Todays technology provides us with lots of materials and high tec equipment. Combining the old and new is an interesting bridge on how we evolved in time. We want all the luxury and yet also appreciate old history and traditions. The pigments that were used are grinded cofee and clay applied with bare hands, the texture paste and acrylics are high quality brands that are bought online, the combination makes it a piece from now and then.
