SUNSETS GOLDEN LIGHT Oil

The spectacular sunsets over the countryside of Mijas in southern Spain, unearthly iridescent, and inured by repetition to their extraordinary beauty. Elizabeth feels humbled to have captured this one sunset, with oils on linen, on a deep sided box canvas. With a sunsets palette of golden sienna browns, yellow ochre and raw umber with all the blues of a twilight sky set again the darkening hillsides. The brush work is smooth, with very little texture and painted in oils and ready to hang.
