Description
I have been blessed to have inherited my parents' love for nature and plant identification. Orchid season is always a particularly wonderful time! The excitement of finding a rare type of orchid hidden in the undergrowth, or stumbling across a wild meadow full of purple, candle-like marsh orchids in June will always be one of life's greatest pleasures for me.
My parents, in their old age, still continue to seek out places where the wild orchids grow, and we take great pleasure in showing each other photographs of our latest finds.
I have made this drawing for my fathers' 77th birthday. It includes drawings of some of his and some of my best recent finds. All orchids are drawn in minute detail and botanically accurate.
