Black clouds over Latterbarrow Oil

One of plein air pieces from the artist regular visits to Lake District. It is dated 18th September 2021. This is simple but very beautiful little landscape that would look stunning in a collection of 3 or more.
Each of the plein air studies captures the weather, landscape, light in the most truthful way and looking at few of those paintings together gives real sense of adventure and beauty of the landscape. In this piece the artist concentrated on the dark clouds coming over the hills and only few last little breaks of sun lighting up patches of the land.
