False Hubris Oil

This is the first of a series of artwork that I am creating for my first exhibition which will be taking place in 2025.

This evocative art exhibition will capture the essence of women navigating and reflecting on the passage of youth.

The artwork will explore the complex emotions tied to this phase of life, weaving together themes of introspection, resilience, loss, beauty in it's new form and eventually embracing change.

The pieces will encompass various mediums, from paintings to thought-provoking sculptures, creating a poignant dialogue around the multifaceted experiences of women in this transformative stage of their lives.

This piece expresses the lengths woman will go to, to look youthful and hold onto their younger years.

The piece one way, looks like a pair of lips full of fillers, encompassing the starved female form.
Viewed the opposite way, looks like a vagina again encompassing a starved female form.
The starvation now a sexual sustenance not appetite.
