SPANISH HORSEMAN AT STABLES Watercolours

The watercolor painting captures the essence of a proud Spanish caballero, elegantly adorned in traditional uniform, sitting on majestic steed outside the rustic stables near Seville. The vibrant colors reflect the warmth of the Andalusian sun, with rich reds and earthy browns dominating the scene. The horseman, wearing a finely tailored traje corto—a short jacket and fitted trousers—exudes a sense of nobility and tradition, while a wide-brimmed sombrero shades his face, hinting at both mystery and gallantry. His horse, a stunning white Andalucian stallion, displays powerful muscles and glossy coat, embodying grace and strength. Behind them, the rustic wooden stables with the terracotta tiles typical of Andalucian architecture. In this composition I’ve tried to capture a moment of tranquility and pride in the age-old bond between horseman and horse.
