Description

After visiting Embleton on the Northumberland Coast, I spent some time observing the crashing waves on the beach and rocks. In the distance to the right is the rocky headland, which is home to Dunstanburgh Castle. I thoroughly enjoyed painting this scene, trying to convey the incredible power of the sea. Unframed, but painted on a deep edge canvas with painted sides, ready to hang.
