Blessed Watercolours

Blessed, Red Roses, watercolour created in an Impressionistic style.

I created Blessed to capture the luscious beauty of these wonderful roses.
I used layers of permanent rose, cadmium red and alizarin crimson for the blooms which gives a tangible, tactile feel to the work. My loose, flowing application of the pigment creates a sense of ethereal beauty, portrayed in the melting blooms, which lingers on in halos of soft pink haziness.
I created dark green foliage as a contrast to the lovely reds.

The painting has my signature on the front and on the back my name with the paintings title, date and dimensions.
N.B. 1cm (approx.) border of brown adhesive paper is left on due to the painting process. This will be lost under the mount board or framing process.

All paintings are securely packaged in acid free tissue paper, cellophane, ridged cardboard and one inner card backed envelope and one outer padded envelope.
My paintings are sent via Royal Mail.
