Langdale from Loughrigg Oil

This dramatic scene was done from a sketch, created on a sunny summer’s day , from the top of Loughrigg Fell in the Lake District in England. I have sat in this spot many times, often with sketch book in hand but been forced to abandon the effort because of rain or wind. It was a treat to have such lovely weather.
This painting has been executed in oils and coated with one coat of varnish to enhance colour and protect from dust. It is supplied framed and will be sent with a certificate of authenticity.
