Gaia and the Moon Sculpture

An original two in one piece of art!

Two worlds merge beautifully here in the form of firstly a sculpted creation that then has original artwork painting lovingly over the top.

I want to draw your attention to the gold leaf has been applied here in areas of texture and on the 3d moon, making it an extra luxurious piece.

This night time scene shows 3d hand sculpted trees against a sky with a full moon in it. The moon is an actual 3d round shape that stands out from the canvas, as is the realistic looking sculpted bark in the trees. Also in this work there are lots of hand crafted then hand painted leaves to give depth and invite you into the art sculpture.

I use an expensive art modelling material for the base structure, then prime this, paint my original art over it and varnish with a luxurious, glossy varnish. This all gives the artwork its look of exquisite and exclusive design.

The black frame has been professionally commissioned for this piece and is not wooden, but a modern, glossy moulding, that is sturdy and hard wearing also.

The broad slip is light ivory in colour.
