Description
Firstly I primed this canvas with gesso to give it a nice smooth base. I painted this canvas with one dark colour to begin with, colour Raw Umber. The sides are painted with a dark burgundy. When that was fully dried I used a spatula and made sweeping movements with dark burgundy, green, a little blue and lastly gold.
The phrase "fire of the mind" is often used when describing intense mental activity, creativity, inspiration and passion. Our minds are full of all sorts of ideas, worry and thoughts. I feel this painting represents this feeling through colour and pattern.
I lastly varnished this canvas to protect it from dust and debris. It also gives the painting a beautiful sheen.
This canvas is stretched onto a wooden frame so is ready to be hung in its special place in your home.
I sign the back of the canvas and you also receive a certificate of authenticity.
