Description
Getting back home.
This series explores the multifaceted nature of homecoming, capturing the emotions of individuals who have experienced both joys and hardships. By leaving their past behind, they seek solace, peace, and a renewed sense of hope in the familiar embrace of their roots. It's about a journey of emotional and spiritual renewal.
In this painting, I captured a figure journeying towards a distant home, her resolve mirrored in the tumultuous sky and vigorous sea that flank her path. Using thick, expressive oil strokes, I blended elements of expressionism and impressionism to evoke a sense of tenacity amidst adversity. This piece speaks to the enduring human spirit, offering viewers a sense of hope and perseverance. It aims to bring an energizing, inspirational presence to any space.
