Postage Stamp Collage
This portrait of the late Sir David Frost is composed of over 4,200 used postage stamps. He rose to prominence during the satire boom in the United Kingdom as in 1962 he was the host and creator of 'That Was The Week That Was'(TWTWTW) the initials of which are subtly part of the design on the extreme left hand side. He was founder of two television stations, a film producer, comedian, author and an agenda-setting political interviewer. An outstanding journalist of his generation he interviewed six Presidents of the United States and eight British Prime Ministers. It was his candid conversations with the then disgraced Richard Nixon, (referred to on the inner left of the portrait), which cemented his own reputation. This picture will evoke memories and become a talking point.
