Flavia SOLD Acrylic

My thinking behind this art work was Italy and the Italian Renaissance.
A wood panel - 40cm x 40cm was pasted over in old paper and allowed to dry.
The paper was then wetted again and rubbed off with a rag to give an aged look to the panel. Acrylic inks were then applied and allowed to dry.
Italian newsprint was then pasted in strips across the panel.
Onto this surface the model was drawn and rendered in acrylic ink and paint. The ink was allowed to run over the news print.
A frame was then added which had been painted with gold acrylic paint.
Finished framed art work size is: 48.5 cm x 48.5 cm x 1.5 cm
The painting is ready to hang
