Daffodils Acrylic

Daffodils. An original acrylic painting.

I'm so inspired by the art of Tiffany and Georgia O' Keeffe that I wanted to create a series of paintings, (my previous one: Of Course I Can Paint Flowers), with a stained glass effect combined with simple, bold beautiful flowers.

I used Golden acrylics yellow light and medium, mixed with a touch of magenta for the darker areas of the petals and centres. For the background I applied a blend of green and green gold for a beautiful deep, shimmering colour. I applied many brush strokes to catch the light to create a textured, paint on glass effect.

The painting has my signature on the front and on the back my name with the paintings title, date and dimensions.

All paintings are securely packaged in acid free tissue paper, cellophane, ridged cardboard/one inner card backed envelope and one outer padded envelope.
My paintings are sent via Royal Mail.
