This is a highly-coloured watercolour of vibrant summer flowers from an English garden. Strong yellow and red dahlia flowers, on a bed of soft green leaves, using photos I took at Audley End House for inspiration
The contrasting deep ultramarine blue background throws the flowers forward giving them a 3-dimensional feel.
Painted on Bockingford 140lb ( NOT) Watercolour paper using professional watercolour paints.
The painting is 14 x 11 inches with a 15.75 x 20-inch ivory mount.
