This piece of work is part of a series of artworks collectively named ‘Ore-inspired’. This small harbour named Guy’s Hole is situated in the lagoon on the Teesmouth side of South Gare between Powder Hole and Paddy’s Hole an area of reclaimed land and breakwater constructed from thousands of tons of basic slag from blast furnaces, silt dredged from the river bed and huge blocks of concrete, approximately one mile north of Redcar on the north east coast. The harbour comprises a small cluster of fishermen’s huts on the grassy bankside, which are now becoming highly sought after as holiday cottages. The entrance to Paddy’s Hole, the old wartime fort and the fishermen’s cafe can be seen in the distance. Signed and numbered Limited Edition Giclée print (total edition size 45) complete with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
