......With Ketchup on the Side
Inspired to use fibre as a medium for sculpture and my interest in reconstructing everyday objects to view anew; this work is part of a series I am calling “comfort food”. Fibre fascinates me mainly because it began as a sheep’s coat….. and is now an artwork! Also, I am very interested in seeing how far I can push the medium. I found it is very amusing to be making a chip and a sausage from fibre and I hope it can raise a smile when viewed. The base is wood which I have painted with acrylics. Fabric glue has also been used to keep the pieces in place.
Named and dated on the rear of the base, and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
