Winter Landscape Sheep Kent
Winter snow comes in from the East and often covers parts of rural Kent. This painting is based on a local view of East Kent where I live. The landscape is dissected with dykes and waterways reminiscent of East Anglia and the Netherlands with isolated farms. A few scattered sheep in the distance. Painted in oil on linen canvas stretched and nailed on the sides in the traditional way for a more rustic look. A square format painting is said to evoke a sense of serenity and calmness. It could also be dropped into a frame for added impact if required.
