LARGE PAINTINGS The painting is an emotional response to my environment, an expressive Abstract painting extremely physical in its execution. My paintings have a powerful presence and are capable of making a statement to any room. My technique of painting is characterised by immediacy of a painting process and the urgency of decision making along with composition. Despite the appearance of forces meeting I constantly assess and push the boundaries of the medium exploring the pigments and their reactions to one another, pouring, scrubbing, washing, playing with the surface of the canvas to achieve depth and space. Working in my studio I like to have several stretches primed ready for painting, as when I feel inspired I like to paint from one canvas to another. This painting comes ready to hang with the sides of the canvas being painted. It is signed on the back and will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
