West Coast Sunrise

West Coast Sunrise was painted after a trip to the west coast of Scotland to visit some of the many islands that sit precariously in the unpredictable seas. With beautiful scenery, wonderful, contrasting light and ever-changing weather, Scotland is a delight for many artists. The inspiration for this canvas came from the rising, morning sun with it's light bursting through the angry clouds and enveloping the land and sea in it's warm embrace. Impressionistic by nature, I used sponges and a variety of brushes to achieve the effect I was after. I can assure you of a high standard of workmanship, materials and service if you do choose to purchase this or any other of my original artworks.
