    My 3 portfolio photos illustrate the development of this plein air oil sketch. Sometimes, not everything can be completed on site, and for this picture I added the light reflected from the lake when I got home. Otherwise, the Loweswater valley and the nearby fells are as sketched that afternoon. Melbreak is the nearest fell seen on the left. The painting is presented in the simple cherrywood frame I made for it. The size given is the canvas size.
