This painting was inspired by an early morning walk in St Marks square, dawn breaking over the grand canal. The sky had a pale blush and the lagoon was still, the covered gondolas moored by the waters edge bobbed gently. there was a few moments of beautiful serenity before the hustle and bustle of the day began The painting was created with acrylic applied with a palette knife, it is on deep edge canvas 80x60 x 5 cms. I work by layering many colours and tones to create depth and structure . The work is signed on the front sold unframed and ready to hang, the artwork extends around the sides of the canvas . My paintings are carefully wrapped and packed, shipped and tracked within four days of receiving orders.
