This artwork is the illustration for a short story I wrote about a woman under the constant pressure of her beauty and unable to escape from her vanity. When a glimpse of light appears on her horizon, she can see the stairs; an exit to the suffocation! and decides to embrace that taste of freedom, breaking the fetters of insecurity. But the image of self-perfection calls and draws her essence back to the prison: her image rooted in the mind.
Original painting created in 2019. Watercolour & ink, 34.0x45.0cm, RG paper 230lb.
W 24.64 cm x H 18.00 cm
