Triptych-Tree Bark-Tri Bach are three textured works which form one art-piece. Though the artist envisaged them as flowing, each into the next, it is perfectly possible to hang them individually, either horizontally or vertically or however it suits your space. The inspiration for this work came from the scars on a tree local to the artist’s home. It shows, not only its efforts to grow but also the scars involved in its long, slow battle against its competitors and the elements. Tri Bach, by the way, is not Welsh for ‘tree bark’ but a pun on the sound of the words. Tri Bach actually means ‘three little’ - as in ‘three little works’. * this work does not need framing.

I've always been passionate about art; sketching, painting and later sculpture and even making short art films and have produced and regularly sold work from 1981. Howe...
