This painting was inspired by a camping trip to the New Forest in the early 1990s. Me and 2 friends set up camp there and survived for several weeks. One evening, when the sun was going down, and the orange glow cast colourful shadows through the gaps in the trees, I went for a wander. With the rustling of the leaves and the creaking of branches, it wasn't long before I was back at base-camp! I painted this piece again with a combination of brushes and sponges and a palette of only 5 colours, as I often rely on mixing them when they are applied to the canvas. I can assure you of a high standard of workmanship, materials and service if you do choose to purchase any of my original artworks.
