The Winter Track

A winter view, drawn in pencil, at the end of an ancient Cotswold track, at one end the village, at this end - the Poet's House.
The icy ruts and winter sunshine help describe the scene.
The cold winter sunshine makes you want to walk quickly home and get the kettle on! I made quick sketches outdoors, and my fingers ached with the cold and didn't work very well. Replicating the marks and the feelings were the fun part of this drawing. At this end of the track is a lovely old house once lived in by a 20th century poet, at the other end is the village. It is high in the Cotswold hills, and is often battered by strong winds and bracing temperatures.
The drawing is 23.5cm x 32.5cm, set within a large shseet of paper. It will arrive signed, fixed, unmounted and unframed. For a fresh modern look, consider a wide double mount and a simple frame.
