Southwold was once a thriving fishing village. The light on the water and play of colours evokes smells and sounds of the sea, and with a little imagination, the voices of the fishermen . Where ever I have travelled the tales of fisher people portray immense daring, knowledge and bravery.
I wanted this watercolour to express optimism of the will and strength of the intellect.
