The Girl with the Mermaid Doll
I was inspired to do this painting of my niece, because the image captured a typical scene of a girl playing with her favourite doll, and in her imagination, bringing it (the mermaid) to life in the shallow seawater. I also like doing paintings with reflections on water. Here, light reflections were created by the water rippling, as my niece pulled the doll along the seabed. There will be a time-lapse video of this painting on YouTube from 6pm 12th July2020.
