Sunset Over The Gault 2
I live in Sutton -in- the -Isle, in the Fens, which is raised above a tidal flood plain. Periodically we are flooded and many roads closed. This area is known as The Gault due to its thick clay and is a haven for waterfowl, especially Hooper and Mute swans. As the temperature drops in the evening, the mist starts to rise and it is easy to imagine how travelers in the past could lose their way.
I took this shot one late autumn afternoon.
