Summer in Woodland, Scotland
A photo I took mid-summer 2017 on a balmy afternoon while on holiday in Scotland provided an inspiration to express the intense light of that day.
The sunlight streamed through the wood creating beautiful shadows. I spent many an hour with my dog in these woods here marvelling at twisted tree shapes, the mosses, lichen, and enjoying the forest sounds and scents.
As an artist that painted for many years in the tropics, I love to use bright and intense colours
Painted using alla prima technique with a combination of brush and palette knife.
The 100% pure cotton stretched canvas has been gesso primed and the painting lightly varnished.
The sides are painted mid blue and the work can be hung unframed. Picture hanging fittings are in place.
Certificate of Authenticity signed by myself accompanies each original.
Carefully packed and dispatched promptly.
All my work and designs are fresh and genuinely original. All paintings are clearly dated and signed on the front bottom right corner.
