Battersea Power Station…an iconic monument to London’s industrial past now stands idle.
I wanted to paint it again. My first painting was a distant view of the building, a small oil depicting a smoky sunset.
This time however, I wanted to come up close and use a much larger canvas. With brush and palette, I wanted to capture the noise and smells of the working Thames with tugs, barges and Thames Lightermen against the backdrop of this magnificent powerful building belching smoke and steam.
