There are so many beautiful old packhorse bridges in the Lake District. Slater Bridge in Langdale is one of my favourites. It crosses the lovely River Brathay and its old stone are weathered and covered in lichen and ferns.

This painting was inspired by a walk I took there last summer (on the way home from Cathedral Cave). I've given the valley the deep summer greens of that summer afternoon, with the old tree next to the bridge out in all its finery.

This is acrylic and inks on canvas, varnished, sides painted white, strung on the back and ready to hang (or of course it could be framed).

Signed on the back and sent with a signed certificate of authenticity. Please let me know if you'd like it signed on the front.
