Roy - Manchester Clearances - Two
Created as a signifier for the Manchester Slum Clearances of the 60`s now considered a planning disaster for its ruthless seperation of whole communities. Random layering of colours relate to memories, image from personal collection chosen for its pathos. One of only three originals, two have been sold to collectors in Norway and London This is the last large print this size although I have some smaller test prints A4 size approx. This work was exhibited at Brick Lane Free Range Exhibition, London 2007 and selected for the exhibition catalogue. All 3 prints are slightly different in colour and layering, This one veers towards blue tones. The image shown first is from the first print(green tones) and photos of the one for saleBlue tones are also shown here. The work is supplied unframed due to its size. Will be packed in hard roll for despatch safely.
