Painted in Oils in the spirit of the Jefferson Starship 1975 album, this red octopus is free in her world where she can transform at will. The innate awareness and adaptability of an animal that has hatched and is primarily solitary is something of an enigma
Painted using alla prima technique with a combination of brush and small palette knives.

Oil Painting size; 24 x 18 inches

Painted using Winsor & Newton professional Oil Paints.

The 100% pure cotton stretched canvas has been gesso primed and the painting lightly varnished with Winsor & Newton Picture Varnish.

The sides are painted blue and the work can be hung unframed. Picture hanging fittings are in place.

Certificate of Authenticity signed by myself accompanies each original.

All my work and designs are fresh and genuinely original. All paintings are clearly dated and signed on the front bottom right corner
