Black and /white Drypoint etching of Crow using Chine Collè to add another dimension of colour from the original etching plate. Because the Chine Colle is a hit and miss it is not possible to have two identical prints as it could move in the printing process so therefore is considered a one off. On this print I wanted the chest area to reflect slight pinkish tones against Black and White. Each print has been hand inked, printed as one off through a traditional press then plate cleaned and whole process starts again. Not an easy or quick process and as the inking is most important and if not right then this adds to the time taken to reproduce a satisfying original, a process not to be confused with computer printing.
