This is a `Plein Air` painting which means I have painted it on location out in the open air with all the light changes and bugs and everything else to contend with at the little Cornish fishing cove of Penberth which is near Porthcurno in West Cornwall and is where some of the scenes for the TV series Poldark were shot. I have painted this spot many times mostly in Gouache and this is just the first time I have painted it in acrylic on canvas. Comes framed in white and really does look good on the wall. There is a great roughness to the surface of the canvas where I have gone over old paintings which adds to the eyes interest.
