Painted in the afternoon on the part of Oxwich beach that is sometimes sea and sometimes land, enjoying the reflections and stones. I estimated how long the tide would take to approach. I am familiar with the beach and knew the point where the tide appears to speed up. Really this is an illusion due to the view of level sand from standing position. I like a challenge! You may have met me on the beach painting on my bicycle easel. The long, thin ratio of the board also added a frisson of danger but it HAD to work as I cycled to the beach from Killay.

The price quoted includes the frame, the size refers to the work only. The painting is signed and bordered by a limed obeche frame.
