Painting based on a photograph in acrylic on canvas board, unframed. The painting is of the Orthodox Monastery at Ostrog in Montenegro, founded in the 17th Century (1665) by the Metropolitan of Hervegovina St. Basil (Sv. Vasilije). The painting is of the monastery post renovation (1923 - 1926) and is as seen today by approximately 1 Million tourists andf visitors each year. The artist has tried to capture the wonder and awe that people feel when they first see this monastery apparently built out of the sheer rock face.
