Orkney is a wonderful place to see history in the round and to feel the ancientness of the islands. This painting incorporates the archaeology, artifacts, landscape / seascape together with an aerial view of the foundations of a round house, a bone necklace from Skara Brae and a superbly carved stone from Pierowall and some of the Stones of Stenness.
