This large acrylic painting on canvas ( weighing approx. 2.1 Kg.) was done by layering several coats of acrylic paint creating the desired effect. This will look good without framing. It requires fixing a hook or a piece of string, before hanging. It is colourful with abundance of texture, making it an attractive piece of art-work. It is not meant to be an accurate representation of the astronomical object. Orion Nebula is situated in Orion constellation just below the Orion's belt (comprising three stars in a line) , in the Orion's "sword". It can be seen with naked eye as a small "whitish smudge" in the sky. But its real beauty has been captured by Hubble space Telescope. This is one of the nebulae where new stars are being born ("stellar nursery") all the time out of massive cloud of gas and dust.
