One World Trade Centre aka The Freedom Tower building complex in Lower Manhattan, New York City, the tallest skyscraper in the Western Hemisphere for now. Truly a beautiful building which reflections and surfaces that twist at different angles made it an irresistible subject. My painting is a representation of excitement in colour, shape and contrast. The background colours come through adding to the three dimensional thickly applied paint which is exaggerated by the light reflected on its surface at different times of the day. Detail is suggested as I want the viewer not to recognize a building , people, bus, but allow your memory and eye to see more than what is there. The closer you get the less objects you see but then colour pattern and texture come into play.
