Oliwia's Dream Year:2011 vibrant colors are well composed and painted in an interesting structures whose shapes were borrowed from the artist's neighbour little girl-Oliwia 's casual pencil drawing. This work gives an colorful dream world where the flowers were in their blossom season. A little girl who cant see herself in such dream world, is driving a small wonderland of her own where her jade-colored pet watching a small plant drinking water with a special draw, nearby which stands a cute unknown being holding two long grasses in the water. The land were connecting to loads of ropes. The little girl seems to be connected with a unknown treasure of interesting shape by a small piece of wire. The idea explores the mind map of a teenage girl who left her hometown for the life in a new city. As the artist said, in her golden age, she tries to pursue the independence of her mind. She still loves her hometown, which is like a kite or a treasure she held with a wire. The work is one of the exhibited paintings on HUAJIN QIU's solo painting exhibition 2011 Series 2-A BORROWED DREAM, in Preston, UK, from OCT.24 to Nov.24, 2011. Perfect for collection and home dec.
