Textile Artwork With this artwork I wanted to show the beautiful Norfolk landscape off, orangey pink skies and a foreground full of plant life. I have deliberately placed only two focal points of interest, the windmill and the wherry boat, both typically Norfolk they also give the overall piece scale, interest and a resting point for the eye. I have created this unique piece of artwork using scraps of vintage recycled fabric mixed with modern designs such as Liberty and Tilda. The fabric is layered to create a dramatic sky with silks, satins and lace. The foreground is layered with hessian and lace and naturally falls in a haphazard manner to give it an earthy feel. Mostly I free-machine embroidery but for intricate detail I hand stitch. Each of my designs are truly original and cannot be reproduced. This artwork is signed, mounted and framed in a light grey box frame. Size Finished artwork 28.5cm x 20cm (A4) Overall size including frame 43cm x 33cm
