The Night Fishing paintings shown here are abstract derivations, being the result of looking into the waters of the Adriatic at night from a small Croatian fishing boat, the fish below attracted to the surface by the light from a halogen lamp, in a fishing technique going back to Roman times. These complex and many layered paintings are designed to refresh the eye on each occasion that we revisit them, so much so that we never see the same thing twice, and each visit is as though we approach the surface for the first time. These large paintings are suitable for unobstructed domestic interiors, and for corporate applications in office receptions, meeting rooms and board rooms.
