This painting was created during the end of June 2017, and features a couple of horses standing in a clearing within the New Forest, Hampshire, on the South coast of the UK. The horses, as well as cattle, are to be found in numerous quantities roaming freely around the forest, which is a national park. The lighting in the scene suggests a hot day during the summer, with strong shadows providing some relief from the sunlight, and which presumably the horses are heading to. The artwork was painted using oils on a piece of smooth mounting board, measuring 20” x 16”. The painting is NOT framed. The frame is shown for illustrative purposes only.
