Neist Point Lighthouse, built in 1900, designed by David Alan Stevenson was first lit on the 1st November 1909. Situated at the most Westerly tip of Skye near the village of Glendale. It stands 19m high (62 ft) and is 143ft above sea-level. The light from the tower is equal to 480,000 candles and can be seen up to 24 miles away.
Great views over Moonen Bay to Waterstein head and out over the Minch to the Western Isles.
